It's All in the Salsa

When you’re visiting Tucson, you’ve got to try the tacos. And not just any tacos. BOCA Tacos. The ever-changing and spicy salsas are served with made-to-order red tortilla chips and complement the wide array of unique and delicious meat, veggie, and seafood tacos. Some menu favorites to try include the Taco Dog (a bacon-wrapped hot dog with grilled white onions, fresh pico de gallo, and beans), Raja taco (fire-roasted Anaheims, poblanos, and corn simmered in cream cheese sauce), and Camaron taco (lime butter- and chipotle-marinated shrimp, grilled or beer-battered and fried).
This outpost for modern Mexican fare is actually no secret. Chef Maria Mazon recently competed on Top Chef season 18 in Portland, Oregon, finishing fifth. She’s also competed on Chopped and been featured on the Travel Channel, Food Network, and the Cooking Channel and has been spotlighted in The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Washington Post, Travel + Leisure, USA Today, and National Geographic.
